Public Notice regarding eCourts 4.0
An updated version of mobile app eCourtIS 4.0 was launched during the National Conference on Judicial Process Re-engineering & Digital Transformation held on 11th and 12th April 2026 in Supreme Court of India.
New version 4.0 marks a critical transition from the legacy Cordova Hybrid framework to React Native v0.77.0 to ensure high performance & responsiveness under heavy data demands.
Core Enhancements:
1. Technological Compliance: The app now targets Android 14 (API level 34), ensuring continued availability on the Google Play Store for users with the latest hardware.
2. Performance Upgrade: The shift to a native rendering engine facilitates faster load times, smoother animations, and more efficient resource management.
3. Ergonomic UI Redesign: Following expert consultation, the interface features a minimalist design with a bottom-tab navigation menu for easier one-handed use.
Functional Improvements:
4. Direct Order Access: Clickable links within the “Case Status” screen allow users to view order PDFs directly.
5. Case Conversion Tracking: A new table enables users to view both old and new case numbers for converted cases.
6. Personalization: “My Cases” section now utilizes pagination (10 records per page) to resolve previous unresponsiveness and “page hanging” issues.
7. Unified Quick Links: All secondary services like ePay, NJDG, and eFiling are consolidated into a single “Quick Links” menu for intuitive navigation.
8. Integrated with BHUVAN Maps for locating Court Complexes.
To safeguard user data and ensure seamless migration to new version, it is mandatory to take data backup of the Mobile App, Advocates/Litigants can use “Export” feature in current eCourtIS App to backup saved cases. This is essential to prevent any data loss during the transition to the new React Native storage architecture.
